A little bit of funky Retro fun

by admin

Hi all,

Sharryn here today with a layout I’ve created with a little bit of funky Retro fun. I adore anything vintage but love adding a funky touch to this style. Scrap FX has a fabulous range of vintage and retro products with something to suit every project. Sometimes it’s that one little chipboard embellishment that just makes a layout and adds to the theme you’re trying to portray.

A while back I had a Pin-Up Girl photo shoot in my studio and to say it was fun is an understatement. We had some awesome vintage and retro props for my clients and they had an absolute ball. My daughter joined in on the fun and I was so glad she did just so I had some cool photos to scrap…LOL We had different settings such as office girl, beach girl and even a vintage boudoir setting…so much fun.

So when this amazing Retro Telephone turned up in my DT kit I just knew I had to scrap it with one of the photos of my daughter on the day. Isn’t it the cutest piece of chipboard you’ve ever seen?

Outline fine markings on chipboard with a black pen to make them pop.

I just adore that phone! And simply by adding some vintage/retro style patterned papers and Washi tape underneath my photo along with some die cut embellishments and stickers the whole page came together just as I’d planned..a Retro style layout with a little bit of funky fun.

I used the Scrap FX Remember The Time Wordlet as my title that I simply turned into a question by adding a question mark sticker to the end of it. To reinforce the telephone and conversation I also used a cute set of lips from the Scrap FX Lips set on my journalling block.

Love Retro? Why not try organising your own Retro photo shoot? You’ll have some wonderful photos to scrap not to mention a whole heap of fun.

Until next time…stay safe.

Sharryn xx
