“Follow your Dreams” – By Kristine
by admin
Hi everyone π
I am back to show you all some layouts I have made for this months theme π
I don’t have my own little girl, so I borrowed my friends daughter.
It was fun to make something girly for once π
“Follow your dreams”Β
On this layout I started with mixing ink and modelling paste.
When you do that, you sometimes get a cool cracklingΒ effect, when the mix dries Β π
I used the flower pattern stencil, large (22012156) with the ink-paint mix to create the pattern in the background π
While having the stencil in place, I sprayed over it with the same ink I used in the paint mix, to get some light and some darker areas π
The tree is a black card silhouette ( 2012284), and its great to use on layouts too.
The title “Follow your Dreams” (2012310), I painted black with a dabber.
I like the contrast of black with other colors.
And I like to mix painted chipboard with non painted chipboard:)
Therefore I have not painted the cute zipper pull(2012302) under the big flower.
“Mia”
I like simple layouts where the photo is in focus π
But just because a layout looks simple, it does not mean that it has not taken time!
I actually spent three days on this one! LOL
I know, its a looong time, but sometimes I don’t have any ideas about what I am going to create!
So I just sit staring at it with the paper for days, and suddenly it just pops and an idea is born!
Then the layout is done within 2-4 hours! LOL! Its crazy π
On this layout I used a black tag from the lace tag set ( 2012040 B),
which I layered with a old book page, and a napkin sprayed with ink π
The top part of the frame (2012046) is also sprayed with ink π
I used the old book page to make it look like the zipper(2012302) are closing the page.
I like to put chipboard over other chipboard to create a 3D effect,
so that is what I have done with the butterfly(2008157) on top of the zipper π
The tree is a card silhouette (2012286).
Thank you for visiting the Scrap FX blog π
I hope you found some inspiration here today,
and welcome back π
xoxo Kristine

Love the simple designs and admire your ability to “stop” at the right time to make those photos really shine!
