Up, up and away…

Hi all,

Sharryn here today with a fun layout I created of my sweet niece. A perfect photo for this months fabulous Boys and Girls theme and a chance to play with some cutesy, fun embellishments that I don’t usually do.

I took this photo one day at the park and just love how candid it is. Little girls are such a joy aren’t they?

Use cute and whimsical embellishments on pages of children.

I just love the new Scrap FX alphabet design, aptly named Playground that is available in both large and small. Here I’ve used the large for my title that I’ve coloured in with crayon.

Add colour to chipboard with good quality crayons.

I simply had to use one of these adorable Rag Dolls on this page…isn’t she adorable? Love those pigtails! Again, I coloured the chipboard with crayons to give it a childlike look.

Crayons give a childlike look when used on chipboard.

Another favourite of mine from this release is this absolutely beautiful Tree Swing Girl card silhouette . These silhouettes are perfect for masking on your projects giving dimension without the added bulk. They can be used over and over again and won’t distort once you’ve misted over them. To give mine a little bit more detail I added some tiny punched butterflies randomly over the image.

Add small embellishments to misted templates for something unexpected.

It’s fun to get the crayons out to play and really makes you feel like a child again. Next project you do…why not have a go at some of those techniques you learnt as a little one?

Until next time…stay safe

Sharryn xx
