Use your wings- art journal page

by Claire Stead

It’s Claire, with the first blog post for October!

I’m still playing in my Junk journal Kraft kit – I don’t know what it is about this journal, but there is something I really love about working on Kraft. The other colours are so vibrant on the pages!

Saying that, this page does have a monochrome vibe with a little pop of colour.

I started off by adding a layer of black across the centre of the page using a dry brush, Then I added some Monogram modern collage paper too.

One this was all dry I used the Segment circles stencil and a blending tool with white paint and overlapped the stencilling on the collage paper and black background.

Next. I used some of the Leafy twigs chipboard elements and the Rouge Gloss spray from DWM and added the pop of colour.

Then I finished off the-age using the  Bird Mask stencil for the text and the Dream birds for the focal points on the page.

I also added a little colour to the birds using some Tim Holtz Distress crayons handsome splatters of Rouge Gloss spray too.

Ta Dah!!!! It was finished!
