‘Perfection is Overrated’ by Elisa Ablett

Hi Scrap FX Fans!

My turn up on the blog today with my latest projects for Scrap FX.

Today I have a couple of mixed media art journal pages to show you and they both feature loads of awesome Scrap FX products, Colour Blast Inks and Gold Foiling.

Let’s take a look at the 1st page called – Perfection is overrated….

I started the page with collage paper in the background and then I added white gesso, yellow paint and the Scribble Faces collage paper as my base.

I then added Colour Blast Inks, stamping with Scrap FX Loopy Bloom Stamp as a crown, a border of numbers and crosses/lines stamp to add grungy details.

The gold foiling around the face and under the crown to add that bit of bling and sparkle. Not perfect though!

The second page I have to show you today is titled –

‘Let the beauty of what we love be what you do’

For this page I started with lovely watercolour ink background with some white negative spaces.

I then stenciled with black ink over the top to create the palm tree fronds, giving a tropical look to the page.

The beautiful flowers I fussy cut from the Collage Sheet and i adhered them to the page along with some gold foiling.

Add some fancy stamping along the edges and some large grid lines with a pen and ruler plus your title.

I love how this page turned out, it reminds me of a tropical garden!
