Ray of Sunshine by Amy

by Amy Turner

Hi Everyone!

For this project I used a little wooden canvas panel and a few Scrap FX goodies.

Segment Circles stencil

Ladders Stencil

Little Poppets Transparency

Grunginess Collage

I also used some acrylic paints, gel matte medium, stamps, archival ink, glue and a few of  my favourite die cuts.

I started by picking a couple of great rice papers, I ripped a piece off and applied it to the wood panel with gel matte medium.
I then cut out one of the cute poppets and put her on a piece of white card stock with gel matte.

I went to town adding some paint to the wood panel with stencils and in some cases just with my finger. lol
I also added a few library card stamps for pattern and contrast with black archival ink.

while that was drying I grabbed a few die cuts that are some of my favs, one from altenew, one from paper roses and one from simon says stamp.
The circle rays and rainbow. I also grabbed a piece of old painted paper that was left as a frame and figured I’d use it up.
I assembled how I thought it might go together. I added some paint to the poppet, her crown that I had stamped and coloured the rainbow.

and then I glued it all down and added a quote with my label maker. Isn’t she a freaking ray of sunshine?!?! 🙂

Keep well everyone!
