Using the Elle stencil in an interactive page

by Claire Stead

Hi! It’s good to be back, and I am so excited to share this project with you all.

Today I am creating an interactive art journal page using the stencil I designed for Scrap FX called Elle.

I decided to create an interactive page with a fold out element.

I worked in my Dina Wakley Blue edition journal and also used one A4 sheet of white cardstock. I created the same backgrounds on both elements using some collage paper – Classifieds and  Dylusions paint in the colours Pure sunshine, Lemon zest and peony blush.  I then used the Zinnia stencil and DWM in fuschia.

I added the stencil onto the main page of the journal and then created the fold out element and stuck it in place and added the Elle stencil on the jounal page .Then I used the stencil on areas in the fold out element where you could see the original stencilling behind.

I also added some botanical elements and stamping with the Crosses and strokes stamp. The body was made using the bubbles collage paper.

Finally on one of the stenciled images I added a black body and also did some journaling using a white gel pen.
