My Best Friend’s Wedding- from DT member Michelle H

Hello there!!!

Michelle here with my first post for Scrap FX!

I was SO THRILLED to be picked for this team! I LOVE Scrap FX funky mix of modern and vintage designs!

Ok two things about me:

1. I love weddings!!! A LOT! The traditions, the ceremony, the dancing- the CAKE! WOO HOO!

2. I’m not a theme scrapper.

Oh OH!!!

I totally admire people who can put a whole wedding book together. You. are. AWESOME!

I got married 3 years ago and I’ve  STILL to scrap a single  page about it. I have the photos printed too!

I just haven’t scraped them. I’m scared I’ll “mess it up”!

So this is my first wedding page ever!!!

For my first page I literally just ripped up some scraps I had on my desk that matched the colors in the photo and called it a day.

My best friend Gia’s wedding was one of the most beautiful events I’ve had the luck to attend (other than my sister’s wedding- more on that in a later post!!!).

I loved Gia’s relaxed attitude towards the bridal party outfits. We were allowed to choose our dresses and the final palette of gold, burgundy and chocolate brown was a complete surprise- to everyone.

Yes, I cringed too when I heard she hadn’t vetted the dresses before the event but hey- the photos prove it all worked out. (whew!)

I used Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Enamel on the title. I usually leave my chipboard bare since I love the natural color but this gold/white embossing powder was too fabulous to pass up!!! LOVE the final effect!

For this page I wanted to try to capture the romantic and relaxed tone of the event as well as bring in the wedding colors.

I used Scrap FX Bridal Party phrase (2012063), Hearts and Swallows (2010054) and Clock Hands, Mini Assorted (2010149) pieces. I also used Basic Grey paper, punchinella from Gauche Alchemy and lace and flowers from Petaloo.

Gold mesh, washi tape pearls, dripped paint and those BEAUTIFUL chipboard clock hands!

How about you? How have you used Scrap FX chipboard to embellish and enhance your projects?

Link up your creations in the comments section and I personally promise to swing by and leave love!

See you soon!
