Superstar by Amy

by Amy Turner

Hi!

I can’t believe it’s already near the end of June!

Summer is flying by!
Today I did a quick page in my 6 x 6 Dina Wakley journal in honour of my amazing business partner/friend, Jack.
He’s amazing, can you believe 88 and still working every day?!?! Not to mention putting up with me every day! lol
He’s incredible … a Superstar!

Plus he rocks an awesome white beard, kinda like my own Santa!

I used the following Scrap FX products:

Star Cluster Set

Word Tags A Imagine SMALL

Star frame

Star Cluster stamp

I also used acrylic paints, gel pens, a paint marker, wooden letters and numbers, gel matte medium, an ikea postcard and tombow glue.

I put my picture down with the gel matte medium and once it was dry I painted around it
with green acrylic paint. I smudged some on the left hand side as well. I stamped the star cluster stamp
in a couple colours of green randomly on the left hand side of the page. I used a paint marker
in the same sort of lighter green and added some more stars on the right.
I painted the star frame and small star cluster in orange and yellow. Then added a piece of a text covered post card
behind the star and glued them down. I also painted the word superstar and the number 88 in orange
and then outlined with a white marker and glued them on the left side.
I added the imagine word tag on the bottom right and it was done. 🙂

A couple close ups of  some of the elements.

And now all I can think about is another Superstar … Molly Shannon. This SNL character cracks me up!

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Until next time.
