You alone are enough…

Art Journal Page by Elisa Ablett

Hi Scrap Fx fans,

My turn up on the blog today with my latest creation for Scrap FX, an art journal page featuring loads of Scrap Fx goodies.

The page actually started out with a colourful background that I had created by wiping all my wet brayers and paint brushes on from previous creations. I toned the middle of the page down with thick white gesso so I could adhere the collage paper pic of the ‘Siren’ I had picked and that too much colour wouldn’t show through.

I then added black gesso around the face as I had the thought of making it more monochrome (black and white) with pops of colour coming through. I then stencilled with white paint through the Grids Stencil around the face.

I added a feather from the Feathers Collage paper and torn washi tape. I added black stitching and small amount of stamping with black ink using one of my favourite Scrap FX products, the circle collage stamp.

I was lucky enough to receive a pack of Prismacolour pencils for a present and I was so pleased with how they blend and the vibrancy of colour as I added colour to the Sirens face.

With so much black and white i wanted to add pops of colour on the face to match what was showing through the background.

Here are the products used from Scrap FX:
