Journal Page – KarenJ

by Karen Jarman

Hi ScrapFX Creatives

I hope you are well. I have a Journal page to share today with lots of layers!

I have used the following delicious products

Fireworks stencil

Cursive Writing

Doilie Stamp

Dahlia Dots by Michelle Logan

Homegrown by Belinda Lowe

Flowery Bits by Michelle Logan

To create this one I started with clear gesso on my journal page and added paint and lots of it! To add some depth and interest I stamped around the page with the Damask Diamond stamp. To add texture I grabbed the Fireworks stencil and spread mouse through the stencil.

I added plenty of splatters and lots of colour and water to the page and as it was drying gave the effect of being left out in the rain.

I added some scraps of collage pater that was sitting in my stash which gave some more texture to the page.

There is a sort of freedom you have when creating in a journal that I don’t get anywhere else in my creative space. In the end it doesn’t really matter what you do it is more about the process and I just love how this one turned out.

The phrase ‘Just Making it up as I go along’ (from the Dahlia Dots page) seemed fitting for a page I just wanted to create on and had no other meaning that!

The finished page!

Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you get some creating in this week!

Cheers
