Scrappin up a storm- Chrissi M

by Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies

Since getting back into my art room, I have been scrapping up a storm. I have 2 layouts to share with you today.

In my first layout, I have made my background using thick swipes of paint, and then some of my favourite stamps in black paint. I love adding bright colours with bold black details in my background for contrast.

This was a rather simply embellished layout- focusing alot on the mixed media background. I added a chipboard fram to highlight my photo and added a small cluster in one corner.

For second layout, I decided to play with spray ink and a stencil for my background, But probably not in the way you’re thinking.

One of my favourite ways to use a stencil, is to spray it with ink, and then stamp it onto my background. It’s a great way to get extra use out of your stencil.

I used two complimentry colours of ink to spray my stencil, then stamp it onto my card stock. I adore how this turned out- and this stencil is absolutely fabulous. Then I came in with those favourite stamps of mine again, this time with matching coloured paint, to add interest to my background.
