Journal Page – KarenJ

by Karen Jarman

Hi ScrapFX Creatives

I hope you are getting an opportunity to create. I had an awesome afternoon just immersed in creating and ignored the world for a few moments.

I have a journal page choc full of FX goodness to share with you today.

Products used –

Geometry stencil

Metal Woman Chipboard

Chicken wire TRANSPARENCY

Ladder Stamp

Newsprint Collage Paper

Circles Mark Making

Crosses & Stokes
Wrought iron stamp

 Flowery bits by Michelle Logan

Hash Stamp

Phew, I think that was everything!

I started with a couple of coats of clear gesso and randomly tore the newspaper print collage paper and stuck in down to start the first layer. I then went back to kindergarten with some finger painting and just smooched paint around the page. I splattered, I stamped and used modelling paste over the geometric stencil.

I inked the Chipboard piece in black archival ink and built the page by adding flowery bits and grabbed out my bag of scraps and found some circle elements from a previously made layout that went perfectly for more added dimension.

I love how this turned out an it certainly improved my mood for the day by not having a plan and just allowing myself to get messy!

I hope I have inspired you in some way today.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
