Creating a set of tags- Claire Stead

by Claire Stead

Hi Lovelies!!

so here it is…..

my third project for May- this time no rainbow colours – but I had to have a play with the new Dina Wakley gloss sprays in Tangerine, Sky and Blackberry. So it did end up quite colourful as did my hands!!

I started off using size 10 Dylusions Kraft tags (no gesso) and added some of the new gloss sprays, also using the Zebra Circles stencil with the tangerine gloss spray. Of course there had to be some splatters in Blackberry too!!

Next, I used the Circular Shawl and some Sky DWM paint to add some more interest to the background. I used the same colours for any stencilling that I added to keep the project cohesive and so that all the tags worked together .

Then I added the faces from the 4 Faces collage paper – one on each tag. Once they were dry I also stamped some dots onto the tags using acrylic paint on the stamp. Make sure to clean your stamp well after using acrylic paint on the stamp. I also stamped using the Frond stamp and some white paint and added some mark making too. Finally I added the words from the bottom of the collage paper after backing them onto black paper.

I also added some pieces of ribbon to the ring that would hold the tags together so that it looked pretty!
