Spring has Sprung by Amy.

by Amy Turner

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all well.

For these projects I was inspired by spring and some sunny days we’ve had.

Woo hoo!
First I made a little springtime vignette with a box I had lying around and the following ScrapFX products:

Humming Birds
Flower Sticks Small

Spring Buds

I also used some acrylic paint, a wire word, a metal Tim Holtz Ideaology butterfly, some mesh ribbon and some mini tart tins.
I started by fitting the lid and the bottom of the box together and then painting inside with blue and green to sort of look like sky and grass.
While that dried I painted the ScrapFX chip shapes for the flowers, and hummingbird.
I then painted the outside of the box hot pink. I glued all the pieces down and added the tart tins to the bottom for feet and you’ve got a cute little spring time piece.

The next project I had a ton of fun with. I started out with my gelli plate and I made a bunch of fun bright coloured paper using a whole bunch of
ScrapFX stamps and stencils along with acrylic paints.

Circular Shawl Stencil

Nodules Stencil

Pod stacks Stencil

Rustic Collage Stencil

Chains Stamps

Doily Stamp

Fern Leaf Stamp

Geometric Shapes B Stamp

Gingko Leaves stamp

Round and round Stamp

Seed stem Small stamp

This is the aftermath lol …

After the papers were dry I ripped them up and used gel matte medium to collage them on to plastic easter eggs in 2 different sizes.

Once the matte medium dried I went in with some Tombow paint markers and added some marks for extra interest. And then I threw them in a bowl,  they look so pretty and festive!

Happy Easter everyone, stay safe!
