Male Destiny Journal Pages

by Deb Adams

Hi All,

Today I am sharing a double page spread in my Art Journal.

To start this spread I used the gorgeous Blue Mandala rice paper, tearing it into large pieces

& applying with gel medium.  Adding random stitching to the page.

I repeated the patterns in the rice paper with stamping.  Softening the effect with water & white gesso.

The ‘John & Harry’ stencil allowed me to apply the male shapes to the uneven surface.

Great how it cuts through his jacket.

The Trees rice paper representing growth & strength in the background.

The Interlock stencil was used to represent a pathway.

The transparencies make great sentiments, applied with matte gel medium.

A top coat of gel medium reduces the shine of the acetate.

Love this ‘Man in Black’ silhouette.

The visual texture was built up by applying lots of layers on these pages.
