Quick page- Mojo madness!
by MichelleH
Hello Michelle here!
Isn’t it totally frustrating when you want to scrap but have zero ideas?
I usually fight those moments of with some Pinterest surfing but that tends to make things worst because I see all these amazing pages other people are producing and can’t understand why mine keeps falling part.
Well there’s one thing that almost always works for me- walking away.
I usually go to bed and let the ideas percolate in my brain overnight.
This is the before page (taken with my ipod on the Instagram app):

Yes that is my scrap desk- if it doesn’t have paint on it- I’m not creating. For your general consideration (distraction): how freaking AWESOME is that Scrap FX balloon chippie (item #2012196)??? LOOOOVE!!!
This is 10 hours and 15 minutes later (or so)!

Some strips of Sassafras Lass and Basic Grey paper, smoke vellum, white punchinella (sequin waste), washi tape, gold glitter letters and 2 fun flair buttons are all I need for this page. I also used the following indispensable Scrap FX items: Arrow border- small (item # 2009373), and Journal Notes (white) item # 2012191w
I woke up early to Instagram my mojoless plight when I found myself shifting paper around and BOOM! in about 15 minutes it was finished.

These guys are irresistible!!! They come as a border so I carefully snipped them apart to distribute around the page. Basic Grey “Newsprint” collection- how I LOVE thee!
The change in perspective and expectations- from feeling pressure to come up with something completely new and exciting to just messing around and playing with favorite shapes made all the difference.
So that’s what I encourage you to do.
Get OFF Pinterest. Get off the internet in general.
Get creating.
The page might be overly crowded (like this one).
It may not be the revolutionary page that gets all the publishing nods, blog comments and adulation BUT it will be something you made.
And, most importantly, it will be much easier for you to move on to the next project from there.
Lemme know what you think! Leave a comment!
Thanks for stopping by!
