Happy Birthday . . . a Mixed Media Scrapbook Page by Sharon!

by Sharon Fritchman

Hi everyone!  I am here today to show you my newest mixed media scrapbook page:

Of course, I enjoyed using lots of awesome Scrap FX products!  Next I will show you which products I used and how I made my page.

First, I picked the photo that I wanted to scrap!  It’s an adorable one of my oldest daughter, Katie, on her first birthday.  I just love this photo!!!

Next, I picked the chipboard pieces and transparencies that I planned to use and roughly arranged the patterned paper that I chose:

I used the following transparencies:

Family Rules from the Family Transparency:

The words to you from the Birthday Transparency:

And these chipboard pieces:

Happy Birthday Banner:

The words happy birthday from the Birthday Frame:

Star Outlines-3:

Pieces from the Flourish T-Spray:

And a part of the Flourish – M – Damask:

I cut the letter I into a number 1 from the Alphabet Circle Set:

I heat embossed all of the chipboard pieces with white embossing powder (except the scripted “happy birthday” words):

I heat embossed happy birthday with sparkling pink embossing powder. Also, I cut out and adhered the transparencies to inked patterned paper.

Next, I embellished the background patterned paper with the Moroccan Tile Stencil and pink luminous spray ink.

I added pink and white splatters and cheese cloth:

Then I placed and glued everything on my page after finding an arrangement that I liked.  I decided to add more oomph by doing the following:

I heat embossed the number 1 onto vellum paper using the Numbers Crunch Stamp and sparkling pink embossing powder.

I also embossed images of cupcakes (using the same embossing powder) onto vellum paper using Cake Stamps-2:

I cut the cupcake images and the number 1 out and added them to my page.  I added some flowers and bling to jazz things up a bit.

Here is my completed page:

With some close-ups:

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and get a chance to do some scrapping soon.  You can find out how to purchase these products and the Scrap FX store.  Also, we would love to see your creations on our Scrap FX Creative Space facebook page!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Happy Scrapping!
