Let the sunshine in with Scrap FX flourish designs
by MichelleH
Hello!
Michelle here.
I’m CRUSHING on the color yellow lately.
I love how bright and cheerful it is but I must admit it’s hard to get paints or scrapbook papers in the super bright tones I prefer.
Last weekend, I was shopping for finger paint for my daughter when I came across an inexpensive acrylic paint set. I can’t believe how AMAZING the yellow is! Naturally I confiscated it for personal use- (Wait! Before declare BAD MOMMY!- she got the other 11 colors.. naturally she wanted the yellow I was using- figures!).

I used small Iris Flower circle, #2012153, Flourish V #20121181 (I LOVE these new flourish designs!!!), ampersand set 2007329 and Itty Bitty Bets “Groovy” #2005104 (my favorite font EVER- hands down!
The joke behind this page is how my daughter likes to stop at each and every flower or bush so she can attack the flowers with this face. It’s her “sniffy face” and there is no walking on until she’s gotten a noseful.

Because this page is mostly yellow and white, I decided to keep the chipboard naked except for a touch of Diamond Stickles. The fussy cut doodle flowers are from an old Sassafras Lass paper.

I finally dug out my sewing machine from under all the paper. I love that triangle stitch and will have to try using it on a border for my next page.
Scrap FX products used:

I love that photo Michelle and this page is just so bright and I can’t help but smile when I look at it!
Yellow looks great! Great design too!
Oh how I love this page!!! All the yellow is gorgeous!! The photo is adorable and all the fussy cut flowers around it are beautiful accents!! Really like how you highlighted the flowers on the chippies by adding a bit of glitz and glam!
