2 Travel-themed Scrapbook Pages . . . by Sharon!

by Sharon Fritchman

Hi everyone!  Today I am so happy to share 2 new scrapbook layouts – both with a travel theme!

Without further ado . . . here they are:

My first page is entitled “Amazing Views.”  I picked a photo that I took when my husband and I visited Lake Louise in Canada this past June.  It was so beautiful there, it took my breath away!  I knew that I wanted to scrap a photo from this vacation using my Scrap FX products!! Here is the photo:

And the page that I created:

I used one of the new Scrap Fx chipboard worldlet as my title.

I heat embossed it with 2 different shades of turquoise embossing powder to get this ombre effect:

I also heat embossed the Eucalyptus leaves with the same turquoise embossing powder:

I used the chipboard paradise frame and heat embossed it with gold, then used the same 2  shades of turquoise embossing powder:

Here is a close up of how it turned out:

Here is a different look:

I used the beautiful “Live tabs” here.  I cut them into various heart shapes to create the floating heart look!

Sharing another look of my completed page:

For my second scrapbook layout, I used 2 photos that I took on my family’s recent trip to the Grand Canyon:

It was an amazing trip with the most spectacular views!!  Scrapping these photos using Scrap FX pieces was wonderful.

Here is the scrapbook page that I made:

Here are some close-ups:

And here’s a different view:

The Scrap FX products with a description on how I used them are as follows:

WTP Explore Chipboard. I used the words Explore and Discover and heat embossed them with light yellow embossing powder.

Suitcase Stack chipboard. I heat embossed it with light yellow embossing powder.

Travel Bug.  I heat embossed both pieces with the same yellow embossing powder and painted with rouge liquid pearls:

Outback Frame.  I heat embossed it with the same yellow embossing powder and added some rough liquid pearls, too.

I used 2 different stencils with white texture paste to make my background:

Cloud-raindrops stencil:

Damask border stencil:

I also cut phrases from the travel transparency:

and the love transparency:

and mounted them on coordinating cardstock and added them to my page.
