Dreamy Mandala by Niamh

by admin

Hi Everyone,

Today I am playing with the new arty dreamcatcher/mandala range that has just been released for May. It evokes dreamy, whimsical colour ways and is so very detailed. I have created a 12 x 12 scrapbooking layout and had fun making a colourful mixed media background.

To begin I used the scribble bloom mask and applied texture paste through the mask all over my card stock, then left it to dry (though not long enough – tune into the video to see what really happened with my photo!!!). Once it was dry, I spritzed the card with water, then dropped coloured inks over the surface so they wicked and blended together. I also flicked gold ink over the surface to add some bling. I then mounted my photo onto some stamped tissue paper and attached it to my page. I coloured the love dreamcatcher with gold pigment ink, and the chipboard mandala with black ink. I also carefully cut the black mandala in two using a craft knife, and attached all the pieces down on my page with glue. Finally I added the small chat stickers as I didn’t really have a title or journalling, so I wanted some text on the page.

Until next time, happy crafting!
