Space adventure Galaxy cards

by Niamh Baly

Hi All,

I had a “blast” with these new space themed chipboards and transparencies this month. They are so cute and make great birthday cards for kids – or any big kids you know. Plus it forced me to use my alcohol inks to create galaxy backgrounds – so win win! The process video of how I created these colourful cards is linked below:

These cards are larger than normal – around 5 x 7in and I used yupo paper for the alcohol inks then mounted them onto yardstick I had cut to size. Once I had created the galaxy backgrounds, I started to colour in the chipboard pieces using Posca Paint Pens, choosing colours that I used in the background and adding extra patterns for a bit of whimsy. Finally on the Outta this world and the Space adventure cards, I cut the science transparency to size and adhered it over the top of the galaxy background. I love how the patterns add to the detail of the background and give extra shine.

I hope you have a go at these beautiful backgrounds – they make a great companion to the Scrap FX chipboards from this fun new release. Please remember to subscribe and like the Scrap FX YouTube channel  and keep an eye out for the bonus videos every Saturday.

Until Next time,
