Looking for Adventure + Joho – Pirates life by Kerstin

by admin

Hello crafty friends!

Our newest monthly products are all sea inspired products, fabulous, because that’s one of my fav themes.

But the summer is over here, Halloween is just around the corner and so was my idea to create a mixed media fantasy layout

inspired from the movie ‘Pirates of Carribean ‘.

I used a dark spider web background paper as basic.

On the photo you can see a motif from this movie it was a sand sculpturing challenge.

used Scrap FX products

Lighthouse, lightbulb

Looking for Adventure

Pirate Ship

Steampunk Top hat

Splat stencil

Boho Arrow border

Spider Web frame

I wanted to create a background in a gloomy dripping atmosphere in a ship hull, therefore I used only the drops from the Splat stencil

I found the typical pirate symbol  as a part piece in the  Steampunk Top hat set

Lighthouse, lightbulb

in combination with a gear and a cut out from an old magazine

our black silhouette Boho Arrow border

reminds me on to the hat pendant of Jack Sparrow, of course Captain Jack Sparrow 😉

and my second inspiration is a sea inspired mixed media layout ‘Looking for adventure’

Dolphin stamp

Coral and Seaweed Small

Mini shells

Ocean transparency

Surf waves

Wave scene

Coral stencil

our latest amazing stamp is absolutely wonderful, the motif  is a mix of filigree delicate line and shapes

I used the stamp with a chalk ink pad on the background

Coral and Seaweed Small

I also discovered this awesome chipboard ‘ Wave scene’  a dreamy landscape and a perfect addition for my layout

Many thanks for your visit!
Happy crafting!
