Life At Sea – Layouts by Renee Aslette

by Renee Aslette

Hello There,

Who doesn’t love the smell of the ocean, the sound of waves crashing and the sand between your toes?

Today I have two layouts that I created using the beach theme new release products.

I love how this layout turned out.  There are so many layers to this and I allowed it to dry naturally in between layers.

Here are some close-ups:

I began by using the Nautilus Stencil and texture paste.  I allowed it to dry naturally.

I then used three different colours of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Refills.  I painted the ink onto a piece of plastic wrap and then stamped it into the areas I wanted to see it.  I sprayed water over it, then dabbed dry with a paper towel.  I did this step three times with each different colour.

#beachlife is from the #beach chipboard themed pack.  I painted it with navy blue ink.

I also used the Wire Circle Frame on top of the photo.  I painted it white.

In clusters on the frame I used the Mini Shells.  I painted them and added some stones.

The Title Life at the Beach is painted using the same Tim Holtz Distress Inks as I used in the background.

Last, but not least is the Coral and Seaweed Small.  This was painted with the background colours also.  It was layered with embellishments from the Kaisercraft Beach Shack Collection.

Here are the products I used:

My second share is another beach themed layout, this one using a family photo we had taken at the Beach.

Here are some close-ups:

I used the Pier Bollards with Rope chipboard.  I cut it in half and used it to the right and left of the layout.

The base of the bollards was dipped in Prima Glass Beads.  I left the rope plain.

In the flower cluster you can see a Mini Shell Chipboard.

#oceanair is from the #beach chipboard themed pack.

The Title Sun Filled Days is painted black.

The silhouette in the background is the Fibonacci Shell BLACK.  It is gorgeous and so fine, it fitted perfect in the background of this layout.

Here are the products I used for this layout:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  xxx. See you again soon.
