Gate Mini album (for Dusty Boy)

by admin

Hi!

Misty here to share a mini album I made for a friend of mine to showcase pictures of her beloved horse “Dusty Boy”.

I fell in love with this gate mini after seeing what Jill had done with it a couple of months ago featuring her mothers garden.   It was so beautiful that I had to give it a try for myself.

However, instead of a garden,  I thought the gates would be perfect to hold the photo’s of this beautiful horse!

I embellished the tag pages with the beautiful silouhettes from the Horse set.

Throughout the book you will find the  Love, cherish, adore wordlet’s

Here I used two of the Rope Rings and attached a couple of butterflies to them….

I love this picture, Dusty seems like such a “hoot”…which is why I added the  owl . lol

To border the picture I used the twigs and then attached the Cherish plaque.

Here I added flowers and bling to the Reed Stem, and the adorable curly bird to the top corner!

I liked the large photo transfer and decided to do very little embellishing. I love the fact that it looks like the horses are grazing behind the wire fence.

This is the back cover.  I created it by using the Woodgrain panel/stencil with modeling paste. I really love how the woodgrain pattern turned out.  The chippy was just a little short compared to the page so I created a border by using some sunburst punchinella from Gauche alchemy as another stencil pattern.

Thats it for today! I had so much fun playing with this months chippy’s and this gate mini has endless possibilities!  Link up your Scrap fx projects below and show us what you do with these awesome Chippy’s, we would love to see what you’ve created!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

  2. wow, what a great album you made! Love all horses there!:)

  3. BEAUTIFUL mixed media mini Misty! (ha! say THAT twice!) I LOVE the photo transfers and the paint work here. The horse photo that you added the owl to is kinda creepy to a city girl like me but I have to commend you on the background and embellishment on that page- it’s AMAZING- you have exceptional painting talents.

  4. All of your techniques are so rewarding to look at. Great work
