Sassy Siri by Marie Johansson

Welcome to the Scrap FX blog! Today I have two pieces to show you and I have been working with a couple of the dance themed products from the September release. One of my friends daughter is a keen dancer so I dedicated this projects to here – sweet Siri!

I have been working with these products:

Butterfly Ballerina (large)

Bravo Rose

Inspire to be Feather

Totally Sassy Wordlet

The first project I want to show you is a wall hanging created on a 12×12 printed cardboard from Canvas Corp.

I added texture to the cardboard by applying modeling paste trough the Wood Grain stencil. Then color with spritzes of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

The Butterfly Ballerina got a cote of Glimmer Mist too, and then I dry brushed “her” with High Impact Metallic Paint and added golden micro beads for more interest & dimension.

The Bravo script was painted golden to tie in with the theme.

My second project is a mini canvas with a smaller version of Siri. Due to it´s shimmering surface the I had a really hard time taking pictures that really give the chipboards the right attention, so bare with me on this one. Lesson learned – don´t go wild with the metallics….

The canvas got a couple of cotes of Glimmer Mist in grey´s and metallics before I added the photo. To create dimension I used the Brocade Lace stencil together with modelling paste in the lower right corner. I added the Totally Sassy wordlet & the Inspire to be Feather before adding more metallic mist. Sadly you can´t see the text on the feather on the picture – but it looks like this before painting.
