Unspoilt Paradise

by Lynn Good

Please welcome our next new design team member, Lynn……..

My name is Lynn Good and I live just outside Burnie, Tasmania with my fantastic husband on small acreage. I work full time and have two teenage/adult boys who have recently left home on their own ventures.

I have been scrapping for about 14 years and although my focus is mainly on layouts, I enjoy doing canvases, off the page projects, albums and the occasional card.

My style does change depending on the photo that I am scrapping but I do love to use chipboard, paint, gesso, stencils, bling and flowers – (thank goodness for girlfriends as this is a little hard when I have boys and nephews sometimes!!)

Being a Design Team member for Scrap FX has been on my bucket list and I am so pleased to be able to design for them and share my creations with you.

My other hobbies include colouring in, tapestry, my animals and gardening although I have to be honest and say that they don’t get allocated much time after working and scrapbooking!

You can find more of Lynn’s creations here: http://www.memoriesonthepage.blogspot.com

Hi there,  I am super excited to be a part of this wonderful team and would like to share my first layout with you.

First I marked out on the patterned paper where my photo will go, and applied Nuvo Embellishment Mousse through a Scrapfx stencil.

While the stencilling was drying I have painted the black skeleton leaves with Vivid Acrylic Paint – Ginger Peach – as I was applying this to black it was a deeper colour that the bottle shows – which was perfect for my layout.

I have then embossed the title and chipboard frames with Stampendous Embossing Powder – Pearl White.

I have applied some stamping around the area where my photo and embellishments will be in a Stazon Timber Brown.  I backed my photo in gold cardstock, and began the layering process of the chipboard, leaves and flowers.  The final touch was some splatters with Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals – Steampunk Sepia.

Here are some close ups:

The Scrap FX products used are below with links to the shop

Boys will be Boys Title

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the layout and have found some inspiration to get crafty 🙂
