Darkness in the Summer tags

by Marie Johansson

Hi crafty souls! Marie here today with a strange set of tags made with the Clock Hand Stemapunk Flower, Botanical Clockworks & some mini cogs and mesh panel.

Let me tell you the story…

Where I live in the North of Sweden the sun never sets during the Summer. Yes – you got it right – we have daylight all 24 hours! Well, this can seams like something exotic to many of you, but for us up here, that has this with us since birth, we can sometimes miss the dark period of year. Miss to light candles, miss to sleap all night without waking up thinking it is morning. SO these tags celebrate the darkness that we sometimes miss so much in the middle of the summer (of well – in the middle of winter it´s the opposite – then we miss the light…)

The base for these tags are a patterned paper from 7gypsies (Gyspy Seamstress collection). I glued on the Scrap FX chipboards on top o it and then painted it with black heavy gesso and different shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

I also sprinkled over micro beads and colorful beads. A word sticker finish and a wire heart compliment the look.

Thank you for stepping by today!
