Hello dear friends
Do you have any plans for the long weekend? I’m back from holidays and happy to relax and enjoy the weather here in tropical Darwin. Long weekends are the perfect time to catch up on both family and crafty time so if you are not going away, come and have a play with me to cheer you up.
Today I would like to share a layout I created using one of the latest chipboard designs from our April release as well as an old favourite stencil.
Scrap FX Products used
I started off by placing my photo and chipboard in the desired position. I only had one of the Kangaroo paw chipboard pieces, but this is not a big problem, as my photo is only small. To resolve my dificulty I cut it in 3 different pieces so I could add it in 3 places around my photo. I always try to create a visual triangle to create interest and lead the eye to the focus area.
I wanted to add some texture so I started off by adding some script stamping onto the background and then stencilled some flowers using molding paste. Once this was dry I added more stamping and colour, using Lindy’s Magicals and a fan brush.
Yet I needed some more texture to ground my photo and added more molding paste daisies.
Once I was satisfied with the placement, I painted both my background pieces and title with Prima Acrylic Paint and Silks.
To finish it off I added some flower clusters and a few key embellishments. All done.
I hope you enjoyed this couple of minutes with me. Please leave a comment to let us know what you think or like or even what you like to see more of.
I’m back next week, so till then, have a Happy Easter.
