Harvest Time

by rachiebabe

Hi girls, here is another farm, country LO.  The photo is of my three boys. The Scrap Fx chippys I used on this LO are: wordlet Harvest Time (2012093), rope rings (2012090), wheat stalks (2012082), scare crow (2011228) and seagulls (2010246).

For the wheat stalks & the wheat stalks on harvest time I used walnut stain, then suede glimmer mist, then on the heads of the wheat stalks I applied glossy accents and while wet I sprinkled on some micro beads. I used black alcohol ink and slate glimmer mist on the wordlet.  I stained the rope ring with walnut stain, then applied glossy accents, and once the accents were dry I inked it with black alcohol ink.  The scarecrows body in midnight blue glimmer, with black alcohol ink patches, the hat is also black, his face are copper StazOn.For the seagulls I first used molding paste, and made little lines on the wings with a paper piercer, once dry I stained them, added a bit of copper StazOn & midnight blue glimmer mist.

Here are some closeups of detail:

Thank you for taking a peek….Rachelle

  1. This is so beautifully executed! I love the stacked seagulls on the top left and the scarecrow amongst the wheat stalks is a beautiful detail- LOVING the stacked circles as well- so many fantastic things to look at on this page!

  2. I love all the ways you’ve dressed up the chipboard here- and because I’m a fellow lover of distressing and layers- just gotta say you do it fabulously!!

  3. This is such a gorgeous and richly colored page! I love the layered birds and how you altered up the wheat stalks – I thought they were embossed at first – so cool how you layered on the mediums with the beads as a finishing touch!
