Princess for a day & Cherish – by Amelie

by Amelie Jutras

Hello Scrap Fx fans!

Amélie with you today! I hope you enjoy a happy holiday season! Here is the holidays, so a lot of family time and scrap !!!

I present 2 layouts to you today. The first “Princess for a day”. In February 2015, we spent a week at Walt Disney World. A week that was not at all relaxing !!!! Clara made the transformation into a princess at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. She chose to become Jasmine! It was an experience

First of all, I started by applying a layer of transparent gesso on my entire page. I then played with different colors of ink that I applied with a brush. I also applied thick gesso using the stencil “Brick”. To finish my background, I stamped some stamps everywhere.

After playing with a few layers of paper and cut, I put embossing powder “Hydrangea Blue Mauve” by Lindy’s Stamp Gang on my chipboards.

To finish, I added to my page flowers, one from Prima Marketing and the other handmade by myself as well as micro beads.

And this is my second page. I admit that I particularly like this photo of my daughter and my 2 nieces! A few days before Christmas, we all found ourselves to make the traditional gingerbread biscuits. My daughter and my niece Victoria gave themselves to heart joy! The last one, Sophia, preferred to sleep in the arms of all!

For this page, I used a watercolor paper, and I used inks with a brush. I also use texturizing paste using a stencil. To finish, I use a stamp everywhere! I also added a few drops of white gesso.

As I do frequently, I left my natural chipboards, I like the raw effect it gives! I play with some thicknesses of papers, fabrics and die cut.

And, of course, to finish, I add some flowers made by hand by myself.
