Stay true to your heart by Marie Johansson

Happy Friday everyone! Today I want to share a layout with this fun picture of my daughter from last summer. I caught her making funny faces over the rain water container. I have used the Magestic Month Stencil, the Fantasy Side Flutterby & the Unlock my Heart Key.
I used the Magic Moth stencil as a focal point on the patterned background paper. The Moth goes well together with the grungy feeling of the Homegrown Snicker paper from 7dots Studio. Instead of spraying over the stencil I dabbed over it with a sponge dipped in Glimmer Glam (Turquoise) from Tattered Angels.
Some details of the stenciled Moth:
As you can see I painted and distressed the Unlock My Heart Key before adding it to my paper & card stack. First of all I painted it with white gesso. Then I applied Kroma Crackle and on top of that Glimmer Mist (Verdigris) . After several hours of drying the effect is really cool I think. I used the same technique on the Fluttery.
The sweet flower was cut out from another Homegrown paper (Happy) and painted in Glimmer Mist (Dragonfly). I think it goes really well with the Moth, Key and Fluttery, don´t you?
Random paint splatters (again Glimmer Mists), stamping and some more crackle medium finishes off the page.
