Quick and Easy Layout

Hi again everyone!

I have a quick and simple layout to share with you today.  I don’t heavily embellish every layout I create - it depends entirely on the papers I’m using.  This paper from Websters has so much detail on it that all it needed was a few additional elements here and there to create some dimension.  This is where chipboard is the perfect solution.

 

 

The Scrap FX Book Plates pack is so handy.  I simply painted this piece with white paint and it looked magic!  I layered an engraved Scrap FX Heart Padlock  which I painted and applied Pewter coloured Rub n Buff to.  To accentuate the engraving, I lightly traced over the pattern with a black Zig pen.

    That photo is FANTASTIC!! You treated it expertly by making it the focus. LOVE the cheesecloth matt and how you used the Scrap FX embellishments- I just left a comment over on Misty’s post about using a fine point marker to add depth to a painted chipboard piece- DOH! Can’t believe I didn’t think of doing that. :)
